Public Market Emeryville announces that is has two new tenants — Mamacita Cocina Mexicana and Tease Southern Kitchen! Alongside Public Market Emeryville’s almost 20 different food tenants, the two new additions bring their own unique flavors and cultures to the market’s family-friendly atmosphere.
From the team behind Papito in San Francisco, Mamacita is a vibrant, modern Mexican eatery specializing in Oaxacan-style cuisine. Led by Chef Matias Orlin Sanchez, the menu celebrates the rich culinary history of Oaxaca with decadent moles, slow-cooked meats, earthy spices, and punchy flavors. Featuring a selection of tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and tortas, guests can choose from a wide variety of meats like carnitas, carne asada, al pastor, chorizo and potatoes, shrimp, and even buttermilk fried chicken. Menu highlights include the Platanos Maduros, Enmolada, Enchiladas (Rojo or Verde), and Churros. Utilizing fresh, locally-sourced ingredients like handmade tortillas from La Palma, all of Mamacita’s salsas are made in-house as well as their seasonal agua fresca and horchata.
“We’re proud to bring the heart and soul of Oaxacan cuisine to Emeryville,” says Irfan Yalcin, Owner of Mamacita in a statement. “Our team is committed to serving comforting-yet-creative Oaxacan-style classics. We hope to be a new favorite for long-time guests and newcomers to Public Market.”
Tease Southern Kitchen is a Southern comfort food concept serving bold, soulful dishes with a modern twist. Rooted in tradition, every dish delivers flavor, warmth, and a sense of indulgence. Menu highlights include Southern-Style Fried Chicken, Famous Tease Mac-n’-Cheese, and Rasta Pasta, made with a spicy jerk alfredo pasta with smoked chicken or grilled veggies.
