The DFW has no shortage of innovative and groundbreaking cuisine. However even the most seasoned foodie will acknowledge that sometimes nothing hits harder than a truly great sandwich. Beloved chain Jimmy Johns has been proving the power of the sub for years, and is getting ready to strengthen its Dallas-area presence with a new Haslet location according to permitting papers.

Jimmy Johns’ newest DFW home will be located at 2157 Avondale- Haslet Road and helmed by veteran franchisee David Brumfield. The paperwork filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation pertaining to the storefront shows that the sandwich shop will occupy a renovated 1,281 square foot space, with work set to begin on March 2 of this year. The turnaround will be relatively quick; the eatery is projected to be completed by June 1, suggesting the restaurant may be ready just in time to provide sandwiches for summer picnics.

Founded in Charleston, Illinois, in 1983, Jimmy Johns has consistently been a heavy hitter on the fast-casual sandwich scene. The chain has garnered a massive fan-following thanks to its incredibly fresh ingredients-its bread in particular. The website offers this insight into what makes the brand so special: “We use fresh vegetables because we don’t hate salads, we just feel bad for them. We slice our provolone cheese and premium meats in-house every day, because packaged pre-sliced meats doesn’t have the same ring to it. And we bake bread all day, every day because stale bread isn’t bread, it’s…croutons.”
