A Southern comfort favorite is continuing its impressive push into the DFW in 2026, with yet another regional location on the books. Waffle House has filed papers for a new location in Collin County, set to open in 2027, according to the appropriately filed paperwork.
Lovers of the popular chain will be able to enjoy its fare in a newly constructed restaurant on the North Central Expressway in Anna. Paperwork filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation offers some essential information about the upcoming Waffle House; the eatery will span 1,760 square feet and-most crucially for hungry locals-construction won’t begin on the location until November 1 of this year. The project is set to wrap by April 1 of 2027, suggesting there is still quite a wait ahead for area-fans.
Waffle House has been developing several new locations across the DFW over the past year. The chain is hardly new, however. The concept was founded in 1955 in Georgia. Fueled by Southern favorites, Waffle House now has more than 2,000 locations across the US.
