Koffee Sutra, a coffee shop and learning center, is opening inside Thornton Park’s Veranda Building, located at 707 E Washington Street.
The spot, co-owned by Ravi Gandi and Alexan Lima, with Elina Broniszewski as its general manager, is planning on opening at the end of February, according to Business Debut.
Koffee Sutra will offer coffee by day including espressos and cold brews. In the evening, the shop will serve curated cocktails and will host events that, “leave a mark”, according to its website. A menu is not available at this time. A post on the shop’s Instagram account described some of the beverages as having, “hints of Rose Cardamom, notes of Saffron Pistachio, and a taste of the craft that defines who we are”.
But Koffee Sutra is much more than a place to get a beverage: It will also offer a robust program of educational events based on the preparation, origins, and culture of coffee.
When it opens, Koffee Sutra will be a welcome addition to Thornton Park. This charming area features a host of wine bars, cafes, and boutiques on streets lined by oak trees. The neighborhood’s gem is the Veranda — a historic group of buildings featuring lush garden courtyards just steps from Lake Eola.
