Shipley Donuts is bringing back its heart-shaped donuts for Valentine’s Day. The donut chain is offering the seasonal treats for a limited time through February 14 while supplies last.
Shipley’s Heart-Shaped Donuts Return for Valentine’s Day
Founded in 1936, the Houston-based donut chain Shipley Donuts announced the return of its trio of heart-shaped donuts. The Valentine’s lineup includes three varieties of heart-shaped donuts made from its classic yeast dough.
The donuts are hand-cut into heart shapes and finished with strawberry, cherry, or chocolate icing. This year’s offerings are topped with new Valentine’s Day-themed heart sprinkles.
According to the PR Newswire report, Kaitlyn Venable, director of culinary at Shipley Donuts, said the heart-shaped donuts have remained a popular seasonal item with customers.
The seasonal donuts are available for purchase now at participating Shipley Donuts locations. Customers can buy individual heart-shaped donuts starting at $1.49 each or purchase a dozen for $13.49, though prices may vary by location.
To accommodate Valentine’s Day and Galentine’s Day celebrations, Shipley Donuts is also offering preorder options beginning January 29.
Valentine’s Day Dozen Boxes Available for a Limited Time
In addition to individual donuts, Shipley Donuts is offering a special Valentine’s Day dozen box. The festive box includes six heart-shaped donuts, two of each icing flavor, along with six traditional round donuts iced in strawberry, cherry, and chocolate. All donuts in the Valentine’s dozen are decorated with heart-shaped sprinkles.
Venable stated, “Our Valentine’s Day dozens are perfect for sharing sweet moments with friends, family, and that special someone.”
The heart-shaped donuts and Valentine’s Day dozen boxes are available for in-store pickup or delivery, depending on location.
