Arizona-based Culinary Dropout has a new location on the way to Ballantyne, according to a recent permit. The brand will open at 15220 Bowl St.
Plans call for a two-story building with renovations including the construction of a new commercial kitchen and new furnishings. Plans also include an indoor-outdoor bar and patio on the second floor, as well as a patio on the first floor.
There is one existing Culinary Dropout location in Charlotte on South Tryon Street, marking the only current location in North Carolina. In total, there are 16 locations across nine states.
Existing menu offerings include pretzel bites and provolone fondue, 36-hour pork ribs and fried chicken drizzled with honey. The menu also features salads, sandwiches, Detroit-style pizza and an array of entrees including steak-frites and roasted salmon. There is a full beverage program with cocktails, zero-proof cocktails, beer and wine.
Culinary Dropout is part of Fox Restaurant Concepts, whose portfolio also includes Blanco Cocina + Cantina, Dough Bird, Fly Bye, Olive & Ivy and The Arrogant Butcher.
Opening timeline details at Ballantyne are still unknown, but it appears the spot is in the early stages of development.
