Greenwood Brewing is eyeing a Chandler brewery and taproom.
The award-winning, woman-owned craft brewery has filed plans with the City of Chandler for a brewery and 2,500 square foot patio to be located at 55 N Arizona Place in the A.J., a mixed-use venue surrounded by parks. An opening date has not been announced.
The brewery will feature three garage doors that seamlessly bring the indoors and outdoors together. Guests will enjoy Greenwood’s craft beers, along with a wine program created in collaboration with a sommelier partner — so expect variety and quality choices. In addition, a menu of light bites and take-away picnic baskets are a delightful way to enjoy the brewery or one of the nearby parks on sunny days.
When brewery founder Megan Greenwood first moved to the metro Phoenix area in 2012, she lived in Chandler, so the new location is a homecoming for her. There, she received a home brewing kit for her birthday and started her lifelong love of craft beer. Within a year, she had converted her garage into a microbrewery.
In 2020, she opened Greenwood Brewing in Phoenix. In a press release, Greenwood said that opening a brewery in the middle of a pandemic wasn’t easy, but growing the brewery into a successful venture has given her much pride. “Bringing our next chapter to Chandler, the city where my brewing journey began, feels incredibly meaningful, and I’m excited to serve this community in a thoughtful and welcoming way.”

Greenwood Brewing is best known for its award-winning beers, including Inbloom blueberry wheat, Greenwood light lager, Warrior hazy IPA, and Purpose pilsner. The brewery has earned more than ten medals from the Arizona Craft Brewers Awards and was awarded the 2025 Arizona Travel Award for Statewide Brewery of the Year.
