Paris Baguette continues to climb up and over its plan of opening a thousand locations in North America by 2030. According to a recently filed permit, the Korean-inspired bakery will be in the DPEG Commons in Kingwood at 708 Kingwood Drive.

Construction is expected to start in April and wrap up by mid-October of this year. Once again, David Kim is the franchisee behind the opening. What Now Houston briefly spoke with Kim about the opening.

“Treating you as our neighbor means treating you to the very best. It’s why we pour our heart into everything we do. It’s why pastries to use aren’t just a product, they’re our passion,” the website reads.

Paris Baguette serves up a variety of fresh cakes, sweets, pastries, breads, sandwiches, and much more. The blossoming bakery chain also serves a variety of cold and hot beverages to help wash down its delicious treats and eats.

Paris Baguette first entered the US market in 2005 after opening the brand’s first overseas store in Shanghai, China. The origins of the booming cakes and sweets shops began with the 1988 launch of the bakery cafe franchise brand in South Korea by the Paris Croissant company. Since its inception, Paris Baguette has become a global franchise with thousands of locations. While originally focused on a Korean-inspired European bakery culture, the chain has adapted to new markets.

While the details surrounding the new Paris Baguette to come to the Greater Houston region are still developing, we can expect more details as construction moves along.
