Hopper Bar is coming to the booming downtown New Braunfels area. According to a recently filed permit, the new bar is expected to open at 210 South Castell Ave.
The permit further details that construction on the Hopper Bar is slated to start this April and wrap up by October. If all goes well, we can expect the new bar to be open just in time for Halloween festivities this fall.
The estimated $800,000 dollar project will include renovations of an exterior space for a 4580 sqaure-foot outdoor bar and seating area.
At the helm of the establishment is Fred Heimer. What Now San Antonio reached out to Heimer to find out more details about the highly anticipated Hopper Bar. Heimer confirmed the opening but informed us that he wasn’t ready to share further details just yet.
The mystery bar does not yet have an online presence, with no website or social media pages available.
The bar sits within the new Co-Op Marketplace, an approximately 2.5-acre multi-use development that features restaurants, coffee shops, shopping, live music, and bars like the Hopper Bar.
“Co-Op Marketplace will adapt the agricultural buildings on-site to fit the requirements of the space, and the 65-foot-tall grain silo will be made into the market’s west entrance,” the Co-Op Marketplace website reads.
“The new pedestrian area will feature over an acre of outdoor space for visitors to enjoy, which includes a splash pad, 4,000 square feet of artificial turf, seating, and shade trees.”
While details around the Hopper Bar’s menu and offerings are still unknown, the Hopper Bar is perhaps the centerpiece of continuing the revitalization of the area.
Hopper Bar is expected to open in Downtown New Braunfels at 210 South Castell Ave by this fall.
