Einstein Bros Bagels to Open on Potranco Road’s Steven’s Point

Einstein Bros Bagels is bringing the option closer to community members in the area.

Einstein Bros Bagels is one of the eateries set to open at the massive $3.1 million shopping center coming to San Antonio. According to MYSA, Einstein Bros Bagels is opening a new outpost in the soon to open Steven’s Point. The bagel shop is slated to open at 14302 Potranco Road.

What Now San Antonio spoke with the former construction manager for the bagel brand, Erik Smith, who confirmed that an Einstein Bros Bagels will be opening in Steven’s Point and it will be corporate-ran location.

What Now San Antonio reached out to the Texas Director of Operations at Bagel BrandsRoger Adams, to confirm when exactly the location would be opening this year, but did not hear back by the time of this publication.

Einstein Bros Bagels has become widely known and loved throughout the world for its unique bagel offerings featuring everything from blueberry to cheddar jalapeno. In the 1990s, the company bought out several retail bagel chains from regions around the US that lacked bagel traditions. After filing for bankruptcy in 2000, the company was bought out by New World Coffee. It became part of Panera Brands in August 2021. The brand started in 1995 in Miami. There are now more than 700 Einstein Bros locations across the country.

As Bagel Brands, the brand behind the operation, continues to grow its footprint across the state, you’re sure to see more Einstein Bros Bagels pop up throughout the country.

For now, keep your eyes open for the new Einstein Bros Bagels coming to Steven’s Point at 14302 Potranco Road in 2026.
