Jersey Mike’s, the sub shop with New Jersey roots, is coming to Deltona.

Holm Subs, LLC filed permit applications with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation for a Jersey Mike’s Sub Shop to be located at 3280 Howland Boulevard, Suite 101. No opening date has been announced.

Jersey Mike’s is a rapidly growing fast-casual sandwich shop, known for serving freshly made hot and cold “submarine” sandwiches made with meats and cheeses sliced on-site and bread baked fresh daily.

Customers can choose from thousands of sandwich combinations, but the most popular is the  Jersey Shore’s Favorite, also known as the #2, made with provolone cheese, ham, and cappacuolo. Customers can get their sandwich “Mike’s Way”, which means loaded with onions, lettuce, tomatoes, olive oil, red wine vinegar, and spices.

The restaurant, founded in 1956 in Point Pleasant, New Jersey, is dedicated to giving back to the communities it serves. In the past few years, Jersey Mike’s has donated more than $11 million to Feeding America, providing more than 110 million meals through the organization’s network of food banks, food pantries, and meal programs. In March, the chain celebrates a “month of giving”, with customers invited to donate to a local charity partner. Since 2011, more than $113 million has been raised through this program.
