Nobibi, a modern Asian dessert and beverage brand known for its visually driven drinks and boutique-style stores, is getting ready to open a new location in Downtown Temecula.
The company’s upcoming Temecula store will be the first location led by investor Leo Villamil, who tells What Now San Diego he plans to use the site as a test market before expanding into Las Vegas. While an exact address and opening date have not yet been announced, Villamil said the team is actively searching for a location and hopes to open in Summer 2026 if timelines stay on track. Customers can expect Nobibi’s lineup of Asian-inspired desserts and beverages served in a modern retail setting.
Villamil brings years of experience in frozen food sales, distribution, and merchandising, with a background working closely with Asian supermarket chains and national retailers such as Walmart. He will lead an investor group focused on growing the brand across Southern California and into neighboring states.
Villamil tells What Now San Diego that the Downtown Temecula store will act as a regional flagship as expansion efforts move forward. He tells What Now that once Temecula is established, Las Vegas will be next, with Arizona and Texas under consideration, although nothing has been finalized.
“Downtown Temecula is the perfect launch market,” the company tells What in a press release. “It’s vibrant, high-traffic, and experience-driven. Nobibi is naturally Instagrammable, and that visual appeal, combined with strong product quality, creates organic buzz and repeat visits. I’m confident this first location will establish a strong foundation for expansion throughout the Inland Empire and into Las Vegas.”
Nobibi was founded as a family-run concept and has steadily expanded across California, with locations in Chino Hills, Claremont, Pomona, Eastvale, Fullerton, West Covina, San Diego, Buena Park, Santa Ana, and Hayward. Additional stores are planned for Monterey Park, Palm Desert, Cypress, and Rowland Heights through 2026. The brand has attracted franchise interest as it continues scaling in the fast-growing Asian dessert category.
The menu focuses on ice cream, specialty drinks, and fruit-based beverages, with an emphasis on presentation and consistency. Stores are designed with a contemporary aesthetic intended to encourage repeat visits and social media sharing.
