Tega Cay Tavern closed in early January, but a new concept is now on the way to the space at 2150 Gold Hill Road. Tega Cay Live reports that Christine and Karl Schaefer will be taking the space for a new concept.

Karl confirmed with What Now Charlotte that they are in the process of developing the new concept. While a name is still to be announced, Tega Cay Live teased that plans include plenty of live music with both an outdoor and indoor stage, and a soft launch for the concept in March.

The couple has been getting involved in the Tega Cay food and beverage scene. Last year, they worked with the Speckled Pear team to propose a food and beverage concept for The Shore Club at the Tega Cay Golf Club House.
