Boca Raton‘s dining scene is about to change when MINŌ Omakase opens at 114 NE Second Street this March 2026.
MINŌ will offer an omakase experience in a very intimate setting, helmed by one of South Florida’s finest chefs.
Jezhiel Mark “JM” Canlas, executive chef for both the much-loved Kapow and MINŌ, helms the kitchen with a resume that includes some of the area’s most respected restaurants including Talay Thai, Lionfish, and South Beach’s Mila Omakase. At MINŌ, chef Canlas will lead guests through a nightly omakase dinner that utilizes seasonal ingredients. This experience is capped at ten people per seating, with two seatings per evening.
Chief executive officer and partner at Kapow Brands Hospitality, Paul Greenberg, tells What Now Miami that MINŌ will provide an experience unlike anything that the Boca and Delray area currently has. At its heart, MINŌ is a stunning members’ club that offers a 10-12 seat omakase bar along with a lounge area that serves a curated cocktail menu and a menu of about 15 intriguing items. “The restaurant is just stunning,” says Greenberg, who adds that the establishments furnishings have been custom made from around the world. “It’s simply beautiful.”
MINŌ is currently offering select membership programs, capping out its founding membership program at 175 people with a deadline of March 1, 2026. Memberships start at $500 for the “Sakura” level, and rise to $3,500 for the ultra-exclusive “Matsu” membership. All memberships include perks such as access to private sake tastings, discounts on purchases, and a food and beverage credit with a value of more than the actual membership fee, making this a very good deal for lovers of fine dining. Don’t fret — if you miss out on membership, you can still dine by purchasing a day pass for $25 (which includes a $25 credit toward your meal).
Greenburg says he’s really looking forward to MINŌ’s grand opening and has been enjoying the creative process leading up to it — especially one past in particular. “I get to taste test everything, Omakase is just awesome.”
