Located where Countryside Boulevard meets Frontage Road in Clearwater, Countryside Square is a shopping center home to household-name stores like Dick’s Sporting Goods, T.J. Maxx, and HomeGoods. It also boasts a food and drink portfolio with brands like Kaia Bowls, Grillsmith, and First Watch—and now it appears to be adding Crispy Cones, the Shark Tank-famous ice cream chain that is “revolutionizing the soft serve cone.”
This week, What Now came across plan review documents submitted by Clearwater Cones, LLC, showing a new Crispy Cones opening at 2539 Countryside Blvd.
The brand made a splash during season 14 of Shark Tank, with its ice cream and its unique rotisserie-made cones.
“A Crispý Cone is a fresh dough cone, grilled rotisserie-style and covered with cinnamon + sugar or a specialty powder,” explains the Crispy Cones website. “The cone is filled with your choice of spread, gourmet soft-serve ice cream, fruit, and a variety of delicious toppings.”
As the heart of this concept, the cone is not only served with ice cream. In addition to ice cream in flavors like Vanilla, Swirl, and Key Lime, it can be topped with spreads like Nutella, peanut butter, or strawberry jam.
What Now reached out on Monday to franchisee Tricia Basler to ask about plans for a new Crispy Cones in Clearwater. Basler was not immediately available for comment.
