Lola’s Pupusas is coming in hot and ready with a host of Salvadorian flavors. The new Valley eatery is set to open up shop at 1200 S Decatur Blvd, according to owner Norma Soriano. A city permit for the business showed that the food truck would operate out of 63 30th St, which is Sammy’s Food Commissary.
“It arose from the desire to bring the authentic homemade flavor of El Salvador to our community, maintaining the essence of grandma’s cooking, but with a fresh touch,” Soriano said to What Now Las Vegas via email.
The new food truck will be situated at the busy intersection of S. Decatur Blvd. and W. Charleston Blvd., not far from Decatur Meadows shopping center. Lola’s Pupusas will be in good company with nearby tenants, including a future ALDI grocery store and retailers like Big 5 Sporting Goods.
“We were looking for an accessible and welcoming place for families. We wanted to be in a location where the Latino and local community could easily find us to enjoy a quick bite or a full lunch,” Soriano said.
While the focus is, of course, the pupusas and the variety that the new concept will offer, Lola’s Pupusas will also serve up and dish out chicken sandwiches and Hula Hula tortas.
“Our menu is a tribute to Salvadoran cuisine. We have a wide variety of pupusas,” Soriano said.
“People love the variety, how fresh everything is, we share a family recipe, and our chicken sandwiches and Hula Hula tortas are also very popular for their rich and comforting flavor.”
This exciting new addition to the Valley is set to be a family-run business and is surely on the move with the support of the community.
“More than just food, we want to offer a little bit of our culture. We want to be the meeting point where families share delicious pupusas, a torta, or tasty chicken sandwiches,” Soriano said.
“We are very grateful for the support we have received so far. We invite everyone to try our food. We strive to ensure that every dish that comes out of our kitchen carries the flavor of our land.”
Lola’s Pupusas opens at 1200 S Decatur Blvd this spring.
