In the wake of Il Fornaio’s closure in Beverly Hills, a new concept appears to be in the works. New York-based SA Hospitality is taking over the space, according to an ABC filing.

It appears that the hospitality group is bringing its Milanese restaurant Sant Ambroeus to the space at 301 N Beverly Dr., according to past reporting by Eater LA.

The first Sant Ambroeus opened in 1936 and expanded to the U.S. in 1982 with a location in New York City. Now, the brand has six New York restaurants, one in Florida and one in Colorado. There are also restaurants in Milan and Paris.

The menu for Sant Ambroeus centers around classic Italian dishes, offering a raw bar, pastas and entrees such as lamb rack and traditional veal Milanese. There is also a coffee bar and breakfast-lunch offerings such as paninis and salads.

SA Hospitality also operates Casa Lever and Felice.

“At SA Hospitality Group, we seek to awaken a universal passion for the Italian experience,” the SA Hospitality website states. “We bring familial warmth and authenticity to those looking for intimate contemporary spaces that offer undeniable quality experiences.”
