Super Duper Burger, a Bay Area-based fast casual burger chain, is preparing to open a new location in San Francisco at 1701 Fillmore Street.
The company’s 21st location will move into the former home of Burger King at the corner of Fillmore and Post streets, according to KRON4. This is the latest from Back of the House Inc., the restaurant group founded by Adriano Paganini. While an exact opening date has not been announced, the new Super Duper Burger is expected to open in Summer 2026. Customers can expect the brand’s signature burgers made with locally sourced ingredients, soft-serve desserts, and a streamlined fast-casual format.
The Fillmore restaurant will sit directly across the street from Copra, putting it in a busy stretch of the neighborhood with steady foot traffic. Once open, it will mark the ninth Super Duper location in San Francisco. The company recently opened its 20th location in Corte Madera and has additional sites planned in San Ramon and Union Square. The Union Square restaurant will take over the remaining kiosk and restaurant space on the east side of Union Square Park.
Super Duper Burger opened its first location in 2010 in the Castro District and was co-founded by Eddie Sarti. Since then, the brand has expanded throughout the Bay Area while remaining locally owned and operated. The company has built its identity around sourcing organic, locally raised, humanely raised, never-frozen beef from Brandt Beef. It also partners with Straus Family Creamery for its soft serve ice cream offerings.
The menu centers on burgers made with daily-ground beef patties, served on freshly baked buns, including the Mini Burger and the Super Burger. Other options include a grilled chicken sandwich, The Bird Sando at select locations, a veggie burger, grilled cheese, and an all-day egg sandwich. Sides include French fries, garlic fries with aged cheddar, and house-made dipping sauces.
Desserts feature soft serve cones, cups, and shakes made with Straus organic soft serve. Salads with organic greens and quinoa are also available for customers looking for lighter options. The Fillmore Street location will further strengthen Super Duper’s presence in San Francisco as the company continues to expand across the region.
