La Panadería, a James Beard-nominated bakery and cafe, is continuing to grow its impact on the Greater San Antonio region with a new bakery set to open this fall. According to a press release announcing the upcoming opening, the new La Panadería will open in the Culebra Commons in Alamo Ranch at West Loop 1604 N.
“We’ve always believed in growing thoughtfully and with our guests in mind,” co-owner Jose Cáceres said in the press release.
“Culebra Commons is an exciting development in the Alamo Ranch area, and we’re thrilled to bring La Panadería to this dynamic and fast-growing community.”
Jose runs La Panaderías throughout San Antonio with his brother David Cáceres. What Now San Antonio attempted to chat with the two to get further details for our readers, but was unable to by the time of this publication. As you can imagine, the brothers are quite busy getting their new location open and running the five La Panadería locations already operating in the Alamo City.
La Panadería was founded in 2013 at the Quarry Farmers Market. The Cáceres brothers opened their first brick-and-mortar in 2014 to share their “culture and love for baking with the beautiful city of San Antonio.”
“Rooted in more than 50 years of family baking tradition, the brothers grew up selling their mother Doña Josefina’s Mexican sweetbread — affectionately known as pan dulce — before bringing those time-honored recipes and techniques to Texas,” the press release reads.
“With a commitment to quality ingredients and artisanal craftsmanship, La Panadería has become a staple in the evolution of San Antonio’s culinary scene, delighting locals and visitors alike with its pan dulce, tortas, brunch, and inviting dining experience.”
La Panadería’s extensive menu includes a host of pan dulce items like the Dia y Noche Concha and Ham and Cheese Croissant. The eatery also offers a variety of full breakfast and brunch meals. La Panadería customers can also purchase and chow down on tortas, salads, coffee, cakes, and more.
“The new location will bring La Panadería’s full menu and signature Mexican pastries offerings to the Alamo Ranch community, continuing the tradition of handcrafted Mexican and European-inspired pastries, savory tortas, and hearty brunch favorites that San Antonians have come to love,” the press release exclaims.
The La Panadería to come to the Culebra Commons in Alamo Ranch will also feature a cocktail menu and a covered outdoor patio.
La Panadería is anticipated to open in the Culebra Commons in Alamo Ranch at West Loop 1604 N by this fall.
