Downtown Washington Court House is getting a sweet new addition.

The owner of Crumbs Up Cookies and Cakes, Hillary Wells, recently announced her brick-and-mortar is coming to 143 N Main Street. Right now, construction is ongoing inside. Wells is looking to open the new shop in late March or early April.

“We’re working hard! Excited to open for you ASAP,” said a recent social media post.

Wells is a talented baker who creates custom cakes themed to sporting events and celebrations. Macarons, cupcakes and, of course, cookies are also options she is planning on introducing to the new location. One of the main menu items on the Facebook page is the buttercream ice sugar cookies made by the dozen.

Crumbs Up Cookies and Cakes will be right in the middle of downtown Washington Court House, next to Capuana’s Delicatessen and Super Sport Pizza. This was formerly Vinyl Coffee, which relocated to 101 E Court Street. Per a recent post, signage is now up at the storefront.

From a recent post, the order system will be purchase as needed, rather than made-to-order only. Wells said she will be providing more information on the opening date and planning for the concept closer to the opening. Before then, be sure to check for updates on Facebook.
