Cocktail-focused American eatery from The Pinewood team to open in Old Fourth Ward.

The Mercury, a “cocktail-focused, classic American eatery” from the team behind The Pinewood in Decatur, will open on the second floor of Ponce City Market January 12, according to a release.

“The restaurant will offer an updated take on Mid-Century American cuisine and classic cocktails inspired by the culture of the 1960s,” the announcement detailed.

Owner Brooks Cloud will again partner with chef Mike Blydenstein to feature a protein-heavy menu that includes a raw bar, steaks, and chops in addition to other American entrees.

Julian Goglia will lead the bar and use house-made ingredients for each cocktail.

The 4,400-sqaure-foot restaurant will seat approximately 200 guests.
