New York City’s most famous bagel is coming to Altamonte Springs.
H&H Bagels announced on its website that it’s opening a bagel shop at 931 Route 434 N., with H&H Bagels filing for permits with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation for new construction permits. The shop is expected to open April 2026.
Under the helm of CEO Jay Rushin, H&H Bagels is expanding nationally both with corporate-owned and franchised locations. Currently, there are locations in Miami, West Palm Beach, Santa Monica, Washington, D.C., and New York with plans for many more to come.
Founded in 1972, H&H Bagels is a New York institution. A household name in the city, H&H gained nationwide fame with “cameos” on TV shows like Seinfeld, Sex and the City, and the Office.
To give them their signature crispy outside and soft interior, the bagels are made with unbromated and unbleached flour. The bagels are boiled, then baked on-site daily and available in a variety of flavors such as sesame, poppy, everything, and more. Bagels are available in sandwiches, with Nova smoked salmon, and with cream cheese schmears. Bagels are paired with freshly ground coffee to complete the quality experience.
