Longstanding family-owned barbecue spot Fincher’s BBQ is bringing its beloved barbecue to Warner Robins. They hope to open at 102 S. Armed Forces Blvd in April, co-owner Jake Fincher told What Now Atlanta.
The space was formerly home to a barbecue restaurant, which shuttered after the COVID-19 pandemic. Fincher said they have had their eye on the space for a long time, with its positioning near the Robins Air Force Base.
“It was a barbecue restaurant, and we’re doing the work to bring it back to what it was before a coffee shop,” Fincher said.
The menu features pulled pork, ribs, chicken, pork chops, burgers and sandwiches. They have four existing locations, including three in Macon and one spot in Warner Robins.
“We’ve been doing it for 91 years, so we’re going to continue doing what works,” Fincher said.
The barbecue spot has deep roots in the Middle Georgia area. Eventually, Fincher and his brother — who co-own the local brand — are looking to pass it along to the next generation. Their children, who are already involved in the business, will help determine the direction of the brand in the future. In the meantime, Fincher is optimistic about the new location.
“We’re looking forward to serving Warner Robins,” Fincher said.
