La Diperie, the Montreal-based ice cream sensation, is expanding to the Florida market.
Franchisee Loopy Scoops LLC applied for permits with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation to open a La Diperie at 501 North Orlando Avenue, Suite 317 in Winter Park, with an expected opening date of summer 2026. This will be the third La Diperie in Florida — and the United States. The company already has ice cream shops in Gainesville and St. Petersburg.
This location is the first of many La Diperies to come, as the ice cream chain expands south. The Orlando Business Journal reports that the company intends to open four locations in the Orlando area next 12 to 24 months.
The Canadian-born ice cream shop was founded in 2014 in Montreal with the idea that people can create their own dessert by choosing a dippable base like ice cream, doughnuts, or cheesecake, which is dipped into chocolate, caramel, or other sauces, before being topped with a choice of more than 20 toppings such as sprinkles, pretzels, or chocolate chips. The company also sells milkshakes, smoothies, pop corn, Dipping Dots, and more. There’s also a dedicated menu for vegans, so everyone can have a sweet treat in their life.
