Ella Restaurant & Lounge, a modern Middle Eastern restaurant and lounge, is getting ready to open in Mississauga at 1488 Dundas St E.
The new restaurant is scheduled to open on March 12, the team tells What Now Toronto. Founded by Hunny Ali, Ella offers a contemporary dining experience that blends traditional Middle Eastern flavors with modern presentations. The space includes a seasonal patio for outdoor dining and a lounge designed for social gatherings, live music, and curated events.
The menu features a mix of charcoal-grilled meats, shawarma plates, wraps, and shareable mezze, alongside oven-baked manakish and pastries. Signature dishes include mixed grill platters with tawouk, kafta, and beef tikka, as well as lamb shank, Turkish Adana kebab, and grilled lamb chops. Light bites, salads, and desserts such as baklava, kunafa, waffles, and specialty shakes complement the mains.
Ella draws inspiration from culinary traditions across the Middle East, including Beirut, Istanbul, and Damascus, emphasizing authenticity while incorporating modern techniques. The restaurant aims to provide both casual and immersive dining experiences, appealing to diners seeking traditional flavors in a contemporary setting.
