Kunafa’s, a Middle Eastern dessert and pastry shop, is preparing to open its first official franchise in Brampton at 6101 Mayfield Road, Unit 2.

The Brampton location will mark a new chapter for the chain, which currently has locations in Mississauga, Scarborough, Ajax, and London. While no grand opening date has been announced, the space is currently under construction, according to a recent social media post. Customers can expect Kunafa’s signature pastries, including Bain Narain, Kunafa Roll, Crispy Kunafa, Soft Kunafa, and specialty drinks like Turkish coffee. The shop uses cheese and dough sourced exclusively from the Middle East to recreate authentic flavors.

Kunafa’s was founded to bring traditional Palestinian kunafa to Canada. Beginning in 2015, the team traveled throughout the Middle East to learn authentic preparation methods. The chain emphasizes dishes inspired by Amman, Nablus, and other regions, striving to replicate the flavors found in those cities.

The Brampton franchise will expand the brand’s reach into the growing suburban market, offering a mix of dine-in and takeaway options. Customers can expect a casual environment focused on traditional pastries, specialty drinks, and high-quality ingredients imported from overseas.

Menu highlights include Kunafa nabulsi-style pastries drizzled with sweet syrup, variations of cheese and kashta cream, and the recently introduced Viral Dubai Kunafa Chocolate. Specialty drinks such as Turkish coffee and mint tea complement the pastries, creating a full Middle Eastern dessert experience.

With its first Brampton franchise, Kunafa’s aims to introduce more Canadians to traditional Middle Eastern desserts and pastries. The new location will serve both longtime fans of the brand and newcomers looking for authentic kunafa and other classic treats in a convenient, accessible setting.
