Shawmut Design and Construction, a national $2.3 billion construction management firm, and Clearline Real Estate, a leading multifamily real estate developer, celebrated the topping off of 2000 Wynwood, a 12-story, 380,000-square-foot mixed-use development rising in the vibrant Wynwood neighborhood.
The topping off marks the completion of vertical construction and a significant step toward bringing new housing and amenities to one of Miami’s most dynamic districts. The milestone celebrated the tradespeople on the project, notably JGR Construction, and was attended by Jenny Bernell, CEO of Clearline Real Estate; Shawmut head of Florida Alexis Leal; and members of the project team.
Since breaking ground in August 2025, Shawmut-led construction teams have poured 22,000 cubic yards of concrete, laid 3,000,000 pounds of rebar, installed 367,000 pounds of post tension cables, and placed 164,000 masonry blocks, reflecting the scale of the build.
Located at 2000 North Miami Avenue, the project will deliver 310 residential units, 12,500 square feet of ground-floor retail, 308 parking spaces, and 141 bike racks to a walkable, transit-connected corridor known for its art, culture, and nightlife.
“Reaching the topping off of 2000 Wynwood is an exciting moment for everyone involved in the project, most notably our trade partners, who have demonstrated their passion and commitment to delivering the highest quality product,” said Alexis Leal, head of Florida for Shawmut in a statement. “This milestone represents coordination, craftsmanship, and dedication that started during the design and preconstruction phases and carried through to construction execution—we are proud to continue contributing to Miami’s evolving skyline and the Wynwood community.”
Clearline partnered with Shawmut, design architect Arquitectonica, architecture firm LEO A DALY, Langan Engineering, Franyie Engineers Inc., and landscape architect Naturalficial to develop and bring the vision for 2000 Wynwood to life. The design prioritizes wellbeing, rightsizing, and energy efficiency, offering a modern approach to community living in one of Miami’s most sought-after neighborhoods.
Residents will have access to a curated amenity package that includes an art studio, fitness center, mail and package room, coworking and conference space, and a courtyard area with a pool. A multi-functional space will also serve as a game room, social lounge, and clubhouse, supporting community, connection, and creativity.
2000 Wynwood is the second partnership between Shawmut and Clearline. In July 2025, the teams marked the topping off of Excel Miami, a 24-story residential tower adding a new dimension to the skyline of the Arts & Entertainment District.
The project further expands Shawmut’s growing portfolio in Florida, which includes Apogee Club in Hobe Sound, Town Vineland in Orlando, Manor Miramar in Miramar, Waterway Café in West Palm Beach, and CHANEL in Boca Raton.
