A mobile drink trailer is moving south for their first brick-and-mortar this year.

C&J Best Sips recently announced their storefront is coming to downtown Rittman at 8 N Main Street, Suite 1. This will include an expanded menu with items like ice cream and giant cookies. Co-owner Caitlin Rieger told What Now Columbus they are hoping to open around the beginning of May.

“What started as baking at home and running our trailer has grown into something we only dreamed about. It wouldn’t be possible without all of YOU who have supported us along the way,” says the recent post

Rieger and co-owner Jeremy have brought the trailer to multiple locations throughout Northeast Ohio and the Akron area, including the Medina Square Farmers Market and Vermilion’s Woollybear Festival. The two started the business as an at-home bakery, then moved into their trailer to serve up iced and frozen coffee and dirty sodas.

Rieger said while the menu will be very similar to their food truck, they will be introducing some new additions as well. Hot coffee will be served this time, along with ice cream and sweet treats. The ice cream options include milkshakes, hand-scooped and sundaes.

The bakery and cafe will be right in the heart of downtown Rittman, next to NAPA Auto Parts at the corner of E Ohio Avenue. Other concepts in this area include Fox’s Pizza Den a couple storefronts down and Gioninos Pizza of Rittman across the street. This is just west of Akron, and about an hour and 45-minute drive northeast of Columbus.

Rieger said she and Jeremy had just recently found the space, and knew this was the best move for their business. More updates on the opening date and new menu can be found on their Facebook page.
