Chop Chop Red Pot is planning to open at The Market on 7th Street this spring. The concept, which will combine Chop Chop Red Pot and sister concept Marlee Jean’s Raw Bar and Kitchen, is slated to open in the former Mad Dash space in April, according to Axios Charlotte. Mad Dash closed in the space at the end of February as it moves to a space at Truist Plaza.

Chef Erik Crawford is behind the concept, serving Southern-inspired street food such as shrimp and grits, pulled pork sandwiches and short rib grilled cheese.

Marlee Jean’s offers seafood and seasonal Southern cuisine.

The forthcoming spot will feature menu items in line with these concepts.
