Pop Up Bagels, the bagel company that has a fresh approach to a favorite baked item, is opening its first Brevard County location.
The bagel shop is planning to open at The Crossings at Viera at 2105 Viera Boulevard with a timeline of starting to bake by the end of spring 2025. The company announced the news on Instagram, noting, “Spotted in Viera, Florida”.
The Orlando Business Journal notes that a permit was filed with Brevard County for the 1,200 square-foot space, with a renovation cost of about $350,000, under MPZ Pop LLC — attached to Pop Up Bagels franchisee Kal Gullapalli. Gullapalli is also the franchisee for the soon-to=open Winter Park location at 646 Orlando Avenue.
Pop Up Bagels started as a pandemic pop-up bagel shop by Adam Goldberg, who simply wanted to sell his wares to friends and family. The bagels quickly became popular, and the company is flourishing.
The menu is streamlined, with a total of five different bagel flavors, sold by the bag: plain, poppy seed, salt, sesame, and everything. These are served up with plain or scallion cream cheese, plus rotating limited-edition flavors. Today, there are more than a dozen locations with plans to open up to 300 locations in the future.
