The late-night pizza spot continues to grow their name around the city.

Mikey’s Late Night Slice is seeking a new location at 1312 Grandview Avenue at the Homefield bar address. The team is coming back to Grandview Heights after previously leaving the Woodland’s Backyard space. Owner Mikey Sorboro told What Now Columbus he is hoping to debut the new space by the end of June.

Sorboro’s business has been quickly growing in the last few years, with new locations in Dublin and Easton Town Center in 2024, as well as a new pizza joint in Dayton’s Water Street District. Starting his first pizza concept in the parking lot next to his apartment in 2009, he has been able to build nine restaurants around Central and Southeast Ohio. Now, the team is bringing the single-slice spot to both Polaris and the expanding suburb.

Their Woodland’s Backyard location was closed in mid-2024 so Sorboro could focus on other locations. Since then, he has always wanted to come back to the suburb, and he now has the opportunity to do it.

“We had Grandview for a very long time,” Sorboro said.

College students and those leaving bars have enjoyed their staple slices like the cheese with fresh basil, spicy-a%$ pepperoni and their mushroom with roasted garlic. Locations also offer multiple vegan options. Recently, Mikey’s has launched a new weekly pizza, this week’s being the Mac N’ Cheezus with creamy mac and melted cheese.

The pizza spot is on the east side of Grandview Avenue, across from The Avenue Steak Tavern. This stretch is home to many other bars and restaurants including Grandview Cafe, Grandview Vinoteca and Agave & Rye Grandview. The address is within Columbus city limits.

Sorboro and the team are excited to come back to an area of Columbus with a high amount of foot traffic. More information on the opening date can be found on their website.
