Papa Sandwich, a gourmet sandwich chain, is getting ready to open a new location in Chicoutimi at 1713 Talbot Boulevard.
The company’s fifth location is set to open in Summer 2026 at Place St Gelais, according to Informe Affaires. The restaurant will be owned by franchisees Camille Bellefeuille, Maxime Boudreault, Léticia Tremblay, and Carl Huth. While an exact opening date has yet to be announced, construction planning is currently underway, with tenders being requested for interior renovations. Customers can expect a menu focused on gourmet sandwiches served primarily through counter service with limited seating.
The new restaurant will occupy a 1,200-square-foot space within a commercial site that already includes several other food tenants. The concept is designed to complement the existing dining options in the area rather than compete directly. The location is expected to generate around 20 jobs once it opens.
All four franchisees bring experience in the restaurant industry, with this marking a first ownership venture for Bellefeuille, Boudreault, and Tremblay. Huth brings prior ownership experience and is involved in other restaurant concepts, which is expected to support the group as they launch the new location. The team has indicated a preference for working with local and regional companies during the buildout process.
Papa Sandwich is known for its menu of hot and cold sandwiches made with fresh ingredients and house-prepared components. Offerings include a range of chicken, steak, and vegetarian options, along with signature combinations built on ciabatta bread sourced from local bakers. The concept emphasizes made-to-order preparation, including marinated meats, house sauces, and freshly cut vegetables.
The Chicoutimi location will continue that approach, focusing on generous portions and a streamlined service model. This opening marks another step in the brand’s expansion as it continues to grow its presence across the region.
