Bakery and cafe franchise Paris Baguette has a new location on the way to Thousand Oaks. It will open at 650-658 N. Moorpark Road, according to reporting by the Conejo Valley Guide.
Gabriel Vesci will operate the location, marking his first spot with the franchise. Vesci, who has a background in finance in the healthcare sector and in working as a multi-unit owner-operator for McDonald’s, told What Now Los Angeles that he was introduced to the brand when his daughter came across Paris Baguette on social media several years ago.
Thousand Oaks is the first of multiple planned locations for Vesci, who inked a deal with the franchise to develop the West Los Angeles area, including Culver City, Brentwood, Santa Monica and West Hollywood. The spot, which will feature a 3,000-square-foot interior and 600 square feet of outdoor space, is expected to soft open in late May and hold a grand opening in mid-June.
Paris Baguette, known for its cakes, pastries, sandwiches and breads, has been around since 1988, when the chain began in South Korea. It now has thousands of locations worldwide, including more than 250 units in North America.
This location will be the first Paris Baguette in Thousand Oaks. The closest locations to the area currently are in Woodland Hills and Northridge.
