A longtime Kirkwood resident is taking over Dom Beijos at 2033 Hosea L. Williams Dr. NE and rebranding the wine shop this spring. Donyal Andrews told What Now Atlanta that she will be taking over ownership of the space from the previous owner in April and rename the space Finally Wine.
Andrews is friends with the previous owner, who has owned the wine store for six and a half years. Andrews, who has served multiple roles throughout her life including being a stay-at-home mom, event planning and helping her husband’s business in retail, was looking for a new chapter.
“I was ready to transition into something on my own as I become an empty nester and want to get into something more creative and forward-facing,” Andrews said. “So we started talking about the possibility of me owning a wine store.”
Andrews is planning to briefly close the shop for minor renovations in April to gve the space a modern, bright feel. She hopes to celebrate a grand opening on April 18. Andrews will continue to offer daily tastings and hopes to host events such as live music on some weekends to bring vibrance to the area.
“I’m really hoping to provide a space that allows people to taste great wines, unwind and build community,” Andrews said.
