Groundbreaking Ceremony to Launch Affordable Housing Initiative

Gorman & Company will break ground on The Fifty-Five in East Point on Friday, March 27, 2026. The project will deliver a 60-unit mixed-income, mixed-use apartment community. The development is located at 2855 East Point Street near the East Point MARTA Station.

The Fifty-Five reflects the city of East Point’s commitment to affordable, transit-oriented housing. It promises to offer resident-focused amenities and comfort once completed.

Features of The Fifty-Five

The Fifty-Five will offer one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments for households earning 30% to 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI). It will include amenities such as a fitness center and a computer lab. There will also be a community space and outdoor gathering areas to encourage connection and neighborhood engagement.

The family-focused development will add much-needed housing options to the city. It will also support long-term economic stability in East Point.
