Golden Corral is planning to open a new location in Baytown. According to a recently filed permit, the new Golden Corral is expected to open at 4350 East Highway 10.
The permit also details that the $4,000,000 construction project on the new Baytown 9,258 square-foot eatery is slated to start in August of this year and wrap up by April 2027.
This would be the eighth location to come to the Greater Houston region.
Golden Corral was founded by James Maynard and William Carl in Fayetteville, North Carolina, back in 1973. The brand began as a family steakhouse focusing on affordable dining. The Golden Corral chain successfully shifted to a buffet-style format in the 1980s and is now the nation’s largest grill-buffet chain, known for its extensive, all-you-can-eat, made-from-scratch food.
There are now more than 350 Golden Corral locations across the United States, with the highest concentration in North Carolina, Florida, and Texas.
“Golden Corral® offers a legendary, endless buffet at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. From our home-style menu favorites to signature sirloin steaks to seasonal promotion specials, there are always new menu items to explore,” the Golden Corral website reads.
