Gin Khao, the food truck that offers Thai cuisine in Polk County locales like Bartow, Lakeland, and Winter Haven, is preparing to launch its first brick-and-mortar restaurant. According to recently submitted plan review documents, the first Gin Khao restaurant will launch at 750 W Main Street in Bartow.

The current menu served by the food truck includes entrees, served with a choice from proteins like Chicken, Beef, Shrimp, and Tofu. They include Pineapple Fried Rice, Thai Cashew, Pad Thai, and Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles).

It’s not yet known what changes can be expected to the menu when Gin Khao opens in its brick-and-mortar home.

The site in question is just east of the intersection with South Woodlawn Avenue, near local businesses like The Salon on Main and Wendy’s Dance, across West Main Street from the Bartow Main Street Low Cost Pet Hospital.

What Now confirmed news of the opening with owner Thomas Klug on Wednesday. We’re still awaiting more details, so stay tuned for updates!
