Located at 804 Providence Road in Brandon, alongside Hong Hot Pot, Chen’s Duck & Dumplings serves “fresh, handmade dumplings with authentic flavors. From classic favorites to bold creations, every bite is crafted with care and passion.” Soon, it’ll be serving them in Lakeland too.

Plan review paperwork submitted by Hong Hot Pot Lakeland LLC shows a new Chen’s Duck and Dumplings opening at 5125 S Florida Ave.

“In Beijing, Peking duck is a flavor that flows through time,” says the Chen’s Duck & Dumplings website. “From secret imperial recipes once safeguarded in the royal kitchens, to the smoky warmth drifting from hidden hutongs, it has always embodied the Chinese devotion to food—an insistence on patience, craft, and respect. That devotion eventually crossed the ocean with Mr. Chen, landing in Tampa, Florida.”

The Chen’s menu features Traditional Dishes like Chili Wontons, Scallion Pancakes, and Osmanthus Glazed Spare Ribs. There are also plenty of noodle dishes, ranging from Lanzhou Beef Noodle Soup to Chicken Stir-Fry noodles, plus Soup Dumplings served in varieties like Chicken, Crab Meat & Pork, and Black Truffle.

Opening in the Florida Avenue South location, Chen’s Duck & Dumplings will join a food and beverage community that includes nearby restaurants like Metro Diner, Outback Steakhouse, and Chicken Salad Chick.

The Brandon location features both the Chen’s Duck & Dumplings brand and the Hong Hot Pot brand together. Here, Chen’s Duck & Dumplings appears to be replacing Hong Hot Pot.
