Miami’s Seafood Staple Bids Farewell After Years of Service
Since its opening in 2014, Mignonette has been known for its fresh seafood, making it an essential dining spot in Miami. The restaurant announced the closure in a social media post.
“After more than a decade of memories, laughter, and unforgettable moments, it’s time for us to say goodbye to Mignonette,” the post, written by its owner, Miami chef and restaurateur Danny Serfer, said. It noted that the eatery had witnessed several birthday and engagement celebrations over the years. It became a place where guests often turned into familiar faces.
“Since opening our doors in 2014, this restaurant has been so much more than a place to eat. It’s been a home. A place where first dates turned into engagements, where birthdays and milestones were celebrated, and where strangers became familiar faces we were lucky enough to welcome again and again,” it said.

The last date for the restaurant was confirmed to be March 28.

Mignonette expressed gratitude to its staff from both the former and the current team in the post. The post thanked them for their service and loyalty over the years.
“Every detail, every dish, every moment shared within these walls has meant the world to us. None of it would have been possible without our incredible team (past and present) who poured their passion into every service, and of course, all of you who chose to spend your time with us. Your support, loyalty, and love have shaped Mignonette into what it became,” the post said.
“Closing this chapter is not easy, but we leave with full hearts and endless gratitude. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your lives and your most special moments,” it concluded. Several followers poured in heartfelt messages for the restaurant, many reminiscing about their time spent at the eatery over the years.
One follower said, “My favorite spot and the best kept secret for the best seafood in Miami. So sad to see this news. Come to Palm Beach, we need you!! My wife and I had one of our very first dates there, and it will forever be a core memory for us. Congratulations on an amazing run.”
