Great Greek Mediterranean Grill has just opened a new restaurant at 2925 S. Alma School Road, Suite 8, in Las Tiendas Village in Chandler. The fast-casual restaurant that offers delicious items such as gyros, souvlaki platters, and bountiful salads, isn’t stopping there, according to Michael Boulant.
This is the second Great Greek location that Boulant and his wife, Tiffany, have opened and they have plans to open several more in the area. “Our development plan is to have five locations in the East Valley. Our first location is on the east side [in Gilbert] and I wanted something that would spread us out westward,” says Boulant, adding that they chose Chandler for its fantastic sense of community. “Chandler has a lot of growth and fantastic people, but there are only a couple of really great restaurants and there was some room to grow there.”
Great Greek Mediterranean Grill was a good fit for Chandler for its combination of quality food and fast, friendly service for families on the go. Boulant says that, while guests order at the counter, they still have their food served to their table. That saves time, according to the restaurateur. “If you’re at a sit down restaurant, there’s waiting time. With our model you get great food, but with faster service.” The one thing that isn’t sacrificed, says Boulant, is the care and the quality of the meal before you. “There’s a lot of prep that goes in ahead of time. Everything is made in house. You get ultra-fresh, delicious food.”
Boulant says that Great Greek has something for everyone, whether you’re hungry for a protein-packed steak souvlaki platter or a classic Greek salad. His go-to order? The The Great Greek chicken gyro: “It’s a satisfying combination of Mediterranean flavors – a soft, warm pita filled with generous helpings of chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, Tzatziki and feta.”
For the moment, Boulant is focused on getting to know his Chandler neighbors, but future plans may include Queen Creek as the third location. “There’s a ton of growth there. I just have to find the right location.”
