Mister O1 Extraordinary Pizza is opening a Coral Gables pizzeria. The shop, known for its star-shaped pizzas using quality ingredients, is opening a restaurant at 110 Alhambra Circle, with a target opening date of late May. The location’s dedicated website confirms the news.
Mister O1 was founded in 2014 by Umberto Mascagni and chef Renato Viola. The team opened the first location in an unassuming South Beach office building, naming the restaurant after the United States Visa that allows exceptionally gifted people in science, education, business, athletics, or the arts the ability to live and work in the country. The restaurant quickly grew traction for its delicious pizzas — especially its star-shaped pizzas. By demand, the restaurant has grown into a small chain of about 30 locations in Florida, Texas, and Georgia with a combination of both franchised and corporate locations. Coral Gables will mar the restaurant’s 10th corporate-owned location.
Mister O1 offers a concise menu of pizzas made with 72-96 hour fermented dough with no sugar added in either the dough or sauce. Each 13-inch pizza is made individually and come in traditional shaped or the restaurant’s signature star-shaped pizzas. In addition, Mister O1 offers salads, calzones, and dessert pizzas. If you want to try your hand at becoming a pizzaiolo, Mister O1 also offers pizza-making classes.
