Layne’s Chicken is bringing another location to the Greater San Antonio region this summer. According to a recently filed permit, Layne’s Chicken is anticipated to open in Leon Valley at 7249 Bandera Rd.

Construction on the new Layne’s Chicken eatery is slated to start in May and wrap up at the end of August. If all goes well with construction and permitting, it will be a crispy chicken strip summer in Leon Valley.

Eli Cohen is listed as the owner of the Layne’s Chicken set to come to Leon Valley this summer. What Now San Antonio reached out to Cohen to find out more details about the franchise, but did not hear back by the time of this publication.

The fast-casual chicken strip brand has continued to grow throughout the state of Texas. What Now Houston spoke with Layne’s Chicken Fingers’ CEO, Garrett Reed, about the expansion when the brand embarked on opening in Rosenberg.

Reed shared with us that they’ve sold almost 400 locations and nearly 50 are currently under construction.

“So we’re just getting started,” Reed said.

All Layne’s Chicken Fingers locations have cooked up and dished out the same simple yet mouth-watering menu since the brand first hatched in 1994, as the website details. Of course, the chicken fingers are the bedrock of this hen house. Customers can get them in a sandwich, in a wrap, or in a box meal on its own. Layne’s Chicken Fingers come spicy or original with a selection of six different sauce options to pair them with.

“It’s good for sure,” Reed said

But there’s more than chicken at the Layne’s Chicken Fingers, which also serves grilled cheese sandwiches and cravable milkshakes.

Layne’s Chicken is expected to open in Leon Valley at 7249 Bandera Rd by this summer.
