A new pizzeria is headed to Boston’s Seaport District this May.

The team behind Stubbys is launching a new concept called Sugar’s Hot Pizza & Subs at 29 Northern Ave, right across the street from Stubbys, reports Boston Restaurant Talk.

While many details about the eatery are still under wraps, Sugar’s Instagram hints at a late spring 2026 debut:

From the guys who brought you @eatstubbys, Sugar’s is coming to @seaportbos this May🤝 … The Seaport Slice.

The team hasn’t revealed a full menu yet, but Sugar’s website promises “nothin’ fancy,” hinting at a fast-casual format. Instagram posts suggest diners will be able to enjoy slices and subs both in-house and for takeout.

Founded in 2000, Stubbys began serving French fries to ferry passengers along Nantucket’s historic Broad Street. Over the years, it grew into a beloved family-owned destination for locals and visitors alike. When the team expanded to Boston’s Seaport in May 2023, they brought a full menu of breakfast, lunch, dinner, late-night foods, fresh-baked pastries, and coffee to the city.

What Now Boston has reached out to managing partner Saugat Mali for additional details about Sugar’s Hot Pizza & Subs and will share updates as they become available.
