Panda Express Opens Its Newest Location in LA
The popular Chinese dining chain, Panda Express, opened its newest location in Los Angeles. The restaurant opened on April 6, 2026, with great fanfare and special giveaways. The opening brings bold flavors to the neighborhood, along with Panda’s boldest new menu item yet.
The restaurant design is a blend of Chinese-inspired elements like red lanterns with modern touches. The design is Panda Express’ new Panda Home design, which aims to bridge the East and the West. The menu includes popular items like Orange Chicken, Honey Walnut Shrimp, and Broccoli Beef.
While the opening was celebrated with grandness, the new restaurant brings nearly 40 jobs to the community. This will make the brand a lasting part of the community. Located at 8492 S. Vermont Avenue, the restaurant will open daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Opening Day Celebrations
On the opening day, Panda Express lit up with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. It was followed by a special check donation of $1,000 to the Girls & Boys Clubs of Metro Los Angeles. The restaurant then offered special Panda T-shirts to the first 88 customers as part of the celebration.
Guests at the opening event got to try the newest limited-time dish at Panda Express. The new item is the Dynamite Sweet & Sour Chicken, made in collaboration with Buldak. This is spicier than Panda’s Blazing Bourbon Chicken and comes with a free hot sauce packet.
