Huey Magoo’s is hedging its bets on Suncoast Casino, where the chicken tender brand is slated to open in the Valley next. Owner Andy Howard shared that the brand is partnering with Boyd Gaming once again, this time to open at 9090 Alta Dr.

“It should open in July or August,” Howard wrote in an email with What Now Las Vegas.

“The menu is very typical of any of our other 90 locations operating in 14 states. We serve nothing but tenders. Either hand-breaded or grilled.”

Huey Magoo’s got its start in 2004 near the University of Central Florida. Originally inspired by Southern “mom-and-pop” spots, Matt Armstrong and Thad Hudgens grew Huey Magoo’s into a fast-casual chain specializing in premium chicken tenders.

“Our journey has been a tender story,” the Huey Magoo’s website reads.

“Fueled by a mission to Craft It, Crave It, Rave It, the Huey Magoo’s team is led by President and CEO Andy Howard, COO Mike Sutter, and an executive team with over 150 years of combined chicken franchise experience.”

In 2023, Howard bought that love for tendies to Sin City, opening a location inside the Fremont Hotel & Casino in Downtown Las Vegas. The new Fremont street eatery would be the beginning of a relationship with Boyd Gaming that’s proven to provide a whole lot of tender, love, and care.

Now embarking on opening the Suncoast location, Howard is already looking ahead to a solid end of the year.

“We should surpass the 100 restaurants open by Q4 of this year, and we have another 220 franchises sold that will open in the next few years,” Howard said.

Huey Magoo’s is anticipated to open in the Suncoast Casino at 9090 Alta Dr before the end of summer.
