About the Company

EEW American Offshore Structures Inc. has been manufacturing monopiles at its Paulsboro, New Jersey, facility for nearly six years. As a member of the EEW Group, it provides these large steel foundations for offshore wind turbines. The facility has a planned capacity of over 100 monopiles each year.

Other than this location, EEW Group currently has its presence across Erndtebrueck, Rostock, Pasir Gudang, and Gwangyang.

EEW Group’s origins go back to 1936 when it opened as a German metal workshop, which produced pressure vessels and tanks. Through the years, it shifted its focus to steel pipe manufacturing and grew internationally before entering the USA in 2020. This marked the first time that a company in the global offshore industry started constructing a production facility in the country.

The latest filing by EEW American Offshore Structures Inc. reflects a financial strain, which is even more highlighted by the unsecured creditor claims. The restructuring process will proceed under court supervision as the company addresses its financial obligations.
