Clock Family Restaurant, a beloved family-run eatery at 1690 E Main St, Duncan, South Carolina, is preparing for its final day. Known for its casual yet comforting atmosphere, the restaurant has been a staple name in the community for the last 30 years.
The menu features classic American fare, including burgers and sandwiches. The menu also includes Greek-inspired dishes. Popular items include specials like spaghetti and meatballs and a blue plate special. It also offers gyros, Philly Steak & Swiss, and Calabash Chicken Strips.
The team announced the closure in a social media post. In the announcement, the restaurant thanked the community and shared, “It has been an honor serving the community for over 30 years.”
In a recent post, the team wrote, “It has been such a blessing to see you all! Just two days left (Thursday & Friday).”
According to a report by Philly Bite Magazine, the restaurant owners have decided to take retirement after 30 years of operation.
“For 30 years, the owners have poured their hearts into feeding the Duncan community, and their retirement is a moment to honor their dedication and hard work,” the report said.

Following the announcement, customers and community members shared messages on social media. One of the fans wrote, “We’ve enjoyed your food over the years. We remember when you were the first fine restaurant on Hwy 290. You have been and are appreciated.”
Another customer shared appreciation and said, “Thanks for the memories of good food. Especially the chicken livers. Best wishes for the future.”
In a comment, the team added, “We are closing. We need to spend time with babies and older parents! Please come support us in these final days! Friday at 8pm is the closing time!”
As the restaurant prepares to close, the team is inviting the community to stop by in its final days.
