Archie’s, a family-friendly neighborhood restaurant, is getting ready to open inside The Broadview Hotel in Toronto at 106 Broadview Avenue.

The company’s new restaurant is set to move into the former home of The Civic, the hotel’s lobby restaurant that has operated since the property opened in 2017, according to BlogTO. While an exact opening date has not yet been announced, Archie’s is expected to debut in late spring 2026. The Broadview Hotel is owned by Dream Unlimited, with hospitality operations managed by Archive Hospitality.

The Broadview Hotel has been a fixture in Toronto’s east end since its reopening in 2017 as a boutique property. The building dates back to 1891 and has long served as a gathering place in the neighborhood. Today, the hotel features 58 guest rooms and multiple food and beverage spaces.

The transition from The Civic to Archie’s marks a shift in the hotel’s dining approach at the lobby level. Archive Hospitality, which oversees food and beverage operations, has handled similar updates at other Toronto properties. The group previously revamped Cassette at the Gladstone Hotel, introducing a refreshed concept aimed at local customers.

Archie’s will focus on approachable dishes designed to appeal to a wide range of customers. The menu is expected to include classic comfort food options, though specific items have not yet been announced. In addition to food, the restaurant will offer beer, wine, cocktails, and non alcoholic beverages.

This will be an excellent landing space for Archie’s, given the Broadview Hotel’s location in a busy east end corridor with steady foot traffic. The property draws both visitors and locals through its rooftop and event spaces, and the new concept will add a more casual dining option.
