The Peach Cobbler Factory is set to bring its Southern-style desserts to the Bay Area. According to a recently filed permit, The Peach Cobbler Factory is slated to open in Webster at 20911 Gulf Freeway, STE. B.
The new Greater Houston area sweets shop will live within the Webster Town Center near the Baybrook Mall area.
Construction on the 1,513 square-foot buildout is nearly underway and expected to wrap up before the end of May.
What Now Houston spoke with The Peach Cobbler Factory Webster franchisee, Douglas Colton, who confirmed that he plans to open by the end of May or early June 2026.
“We’re putting the finishing touches on the build-out and training our team so we can welcome guests as soon as possible,” Colton said.
Originally from Pealand, Colton said he and his wife, Elizabeth, were looking for a unique and joyful opportunity to bring back to the area they love, and The Peach Cobbler Factory fit the bill.
“We discovered The Peach Cobbler Factory and fell in love with the concept—warm, Southern-style desserts that feel like homemade comfort food but with consistent quality and a fun variety,” Colton said.
“It’s a franchise that’s growing fast in Texas, and we saw a perfect opportunity to bring it to Webster, just a short drive from my hometown. We wanted to create a feel-good destination where families, friends, and locals can gather for something sweet and special.”
The Peach Cobbler Factory was founded in Nashville, Tennessee, back in 2013 by Juan and Tammy Edgerton. What began as a popular food truck and farmer’s market vendor has grown into a booming franchise.
Following a 2021 partnership with Greg George and later an investment from Larry Johnson, the Cobbler pie brand is on a rapid franchise model to grow more than a hundred locations.
As of March this year, the brand surpassed that goal. The Peach Cobbler Factory now operates more than 130 brick-and-mortar and mobile locations across 24 states.
There are at least 12 open locations in Texas, with several more listed as “coming soon.” The Peach Cobbler Factory can currently be found in the Lone Star state in Humble, Katy, and Richmond.
“Webster is the perfect fit. It’s right in the heart of the Bay Area Houston retail and dining scene, with great traffic and a growing, diverse community,” Colton said.
“Being so close to Pearland and having so many memories in Webster just made it feel like coming home while reaching a broader audience. We looked for a high-visibility spot with easy access off the Gulf Freeway (I-45), and found the perfect place at 20911 Gulf Freeway, Suite B, in Webster, TX. We’re excited about the energy here—lots of families, NASA and aerospace professionals, tourists, and locals who love good food and community spots.”
Known for serving 12+ flavors of Southern-style cobblers paired with vanilla ice cream, 12 types of banana pudding, and unique “dessert flights,” the brand also offers big gourmet cookies, brownies, churro stix, cinnamon rolls, and gourmet coffee or cold brew.
“Everything is made fresh daily with high-quality ingredients, and we offer dine-in, takeout, delivery, and catering for parties, offices, or events.”
For the Coltons, The Peach Cobbler Factory brand expansion in the Greater Houston market is just getting started.
“This Webster location is our first, but we’re already planning a second location in the League City area. We’re excited to expand within the Bay Area Houston community and bring our desserts even closer to more families in the region. For now, we’re focused on making the Webster store a huge success and a local favorite,” Colton said.
“We want to bring a little extra sweetness and joy to Webster and the surrounding area. In a busy world, it’s nice to have a place where people can slow down, enjoy something comforting and delicious, and make memories with family and friends. We also hope to support local events, schools, and charities through catering and sponsorships—being a positive, community-minded business is really important to us.”
Colton shared that The Peach Cobbler Factory, set to open in Webster this year, will have a fun grand opening event. The grand opening will include giveaways, live music, plenty of free samples of the cobbler and other treats, and a chance for the community to come celebrate with its hometown owners.
“We’re incredibly grateful for the support we’ve already received from the community as we get ready to open,” Colton said.
