Potbelly Sandwich Shop is coming to St. Cloud.

Sugarland Investment Group LLC, a major Potbelly franchisee, has filed permit applications with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation to open a Potbelly Sandwich Shop at 4994 E. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway. An opening date has not been announced.

This Chicago-born restaurant has a unique origin story. It was founded in 1977 inside an antuqies shop in the city’s Lincoln Park neighborhood. The restaurant keeps to its cozy vibe by offering toasted sandwiches made with fresh ingredients in restaurants that are homey and welcoming with some even featuring its signature potbelly stove. The restaurant chain has since grown to more than 400 locations throughout the U.S.

Favorite sandwiches include a pizza melt, chicken club and its signature sandwich, the Wreck that includes turkey breast, Angus roast beef, smoked ham, salami, and Swiss cheese. In keeping with its warm vibes, sandwiches can be paired with a variety of soups and mac and cheese options, making a meal a soothing treat.

Potbelly also offers a rewards program for customers, with free sandwich rewards.
